Asked if the Prime Minister had a view on the Justice Secretary s decision to pardon jailed football fan Michael Shields, the PMS said that the Prime Minister supported the decision made by Jack Straw.
Asked if the Prime Minister predicted any diplomatic problems with Bulgaria in the light of this decision, the PMS said that the Prime Minister supported the decision and it was best to talk to the relevant department in regards to diplomatic relations.
