Asked if the Prime Minister was hosting a garden party for the Gurkhas, the PMS told the assembled press that some Gurkhas would be coming to Downing Street at 4.30pm with Joanna Lumley.
Asked if the Prime Minister would support moves to make Joanna Lumley a Dame, the PMS said he would not comment on individual cases with regard to honours, but added that the Prime Minister was a great admirer of Ms Lumley s campaigning skills.
