Grammar Schools

Asked whether the Prime Minister shared Ed Ball s bloodlust for beating grammar schools, the PMS said he was not sure that was a very accurate characterisation of the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families position. As the DCSF had been making clear, yesterday s announcement was not an attack, as it had been attempted to be portrayed in some quarters. It was a sign that the Government was committed to supporting bright pupils wherever they went to school.

Labour’s idea of a level playing field, is to close or forcefully lower the standards of private schools, until they are lousy as the comps.

There’s no wonder working class people with a bit of intelligence, despair for their kids futures. Our family included.

Crucial question is, where did Mr Balls go to school? Yes, you guessed it – leading selective school! Where will his kids go? Of course – somehow a Grammar school will be ‘the right choice for them’ as it was for Harriet Harman’s son! Hypocrisy.
