Embryology Bill
« Misc | Back to most recent briefing | Zimbabwe Sanctions »
Put that the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill came back to the House for a third reading next week and was it still the position that it was a Government bill and all those in Government would be expected to vote, the PMS said that that was correct unless they had other important business that the Whips considered sufficient to excuse them from voting. Asked whether a vote on amendments to the abortion part of the bill would still be a free vote, the PMS said he did not want to get into hypotheticals. At the moment there hadn’t been any amendments put forward.
