Zimbabwe Sanctions
« Embryology Bill | Back to most recent briefing | House of Lords Reform »
Asked what the Government thought about President Medvedev not being happy with the sanctions being imposed on Zimbabwe, the PMS said that the statement that the G8 issued which was agreed by all of the G8 was very clear and people would have seen that. The debate would now move to the UN and the US had put forward its resolution that the UK had co-sponsored. The PMS was sure there would be further discussions in New York about this over the next few days.

Sanctions and talks and talks about talks and talks about sanctions and sanctions about talks……………………..
And all the while in the night there are screams and the smell of burning flesh. And the dogs bark at the moon and the malitia thrash the flesh of the poor people who want democracy and want freedom. And while the flesh burns and while the dogs bark and while the men thrash and while the children die there are talks about talks about talks about sanctions about talks………….
THE HUMAN RACE SHOULD BE DISGUSTED WITH ITSELF.
Comment by HELENE DONOHOE — 11 Jul 2008 on 10:03 am | LinkWhy is it that the UK and USA are always looking for an enemy? Robert Mugabe is doing exactly what he said he would do before he first became President i.e returning the land to the people of Zimbabwe. Can anybody imagine the Yanks giving back land they stole from native American Indians apart from a few acres scattered here and there? So three cheers for the Russians and Chinese who know that Mugabe is simply standing up for the rights of his own people and is absolutely no physical threat to British and American warmongering.
