When asked about the raising of the Saltire above Downing Street, the Prime Minister?s Official Spokesperson (PMOS) said there is nothing more important than the future of the UK and Scotland in the coming days, and reiterated the Prime Minister?s clear message to Scotland ? ?we want you to stay?. On the forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition to Scotland tomorrow (10 September 2014), the PMOS said they would engage with people in Scotland, and address the fundamental question that Scotland faces. As for the motivation for the visit, the PMOS said people could expect more from the political parties in the coming days, a part of which includes the Prime Minister and other senior party members coming together under a common campaigning mission to make the case for the union. When asked about the Prime Minister?s words to a reception for Scottish business leaders in Downing Street, the PMOS said the PM stressed that the UK had a proud history together, and very much hoped it would have a proud future together.
