Hung Parliaments

Asked what the Prime Minister expected to see in the Cabinet office manual on hung parliaments, the PMS said that this related to Sir Gus O’Donnell’s manual on the subject and his aim to codify a lot of the conventions. The PMS said that it was likely that Sir Gus O’Donnell would have briefed the Prime Minister on its contents.

Asked if the manual had been communicated to the leaders of the opposition parties, the PMS replied that they would be aware of it and the link to it was now up on the Cabinet Office website.
