Asked if the Government has ruled out a compulsory levy to pay for old age care, the PMS said, that he understood that a 20,000 levy to pay for old age care is not something that the Department of Health is proposing. He said one of the major problems facing society is the number of elderly people who will need care and dignity in old age is something the Prime Minister feels strongly about.
