Lisbon Treaty

Put that the treaty came into force today and did the Prime Minister see today as a day of celebration, the PMS said that the Prime Minister was aware that the treaty had come into force and it was therefore the day that Baroness Ashton took up her important role at the centre of Europe. This could only be good for the UK.

There were other Commission roles to be confirmed but as we had said previously, the fact that we had secured such an important and senior role could only be good for Britain and its interests.

  1. All I can see is the smirky Sharkozy taunting the UK with his joy at France getting the power to make good 50 years for Gallic foriegn policy and destroy The City. As far as I can see we’ve been sold down the river and our new European masters haven’t even waited a day since the treat came into force to rub our noses in it. The UK and the free market appear to be on the brink of massive damage at the hands of the opponents of the Anglo-Saxon way of life. Our forefathers must be turning in their graves.

As for the foreign minister role – how can Europe have a foreign policy when Europe contains Neutral countries and nuclear powers; UN security council members, principled countries and double dealers; rich and poor, global players and minnows ? It’s a non-job, there can be no meaningful European policy. How humilating our presentative is an ex-CND member, Russia will be rubbing their hands to see their old employees in high ranking position.

None of this would have happened if there’d been one strap of democracy in this shameful process.
