Asked about the Foreign Secretary s meetings in Gibraltar and the matter of sovereignty, the Prime Minister s Spokesman (PMS) said that the meeting today was a meeting of the trilateral forum, which brought together Spain, Gibraltar and the UK. The first trilateral meeting was in C rdoba in 2006 and the second was in London last July; it was a relatively new process and today saw the third meeting in this particular forum. In overall terms our position on sovereignty was well known; we would not enter into arrangements under which the people of Gibraltar would pass under the sovereignty of another state against their wishes.
