Asked if the Prime Minister was happy that a Foreign Office Minister was publicising a Don t be a Dick policy for holiday-makers this summer, the PMS said that it was important when trying to target particular groups in society that you captured their attention and that had clearly been the case in this particular instance. This was part of the Know Before You Go campaign. Asked to respond to Austin Mitchell s comments on the Prime Minister and what his holiday plans would be, the PMS said that it was the Prime Minister s view that he took his responsibilities as Prime Minister very seriously and therefore it was important that he worked as necessary in order to do it. Asked if the Prime Minister was knackered , the PMS said the Prime Minister sought to get as much rest as possible, but the nature of the job meant that it could sometimes be demanding, but that was a responsibility that he was happy to take on. Put that the Prime Minister s holiday could not come soon enough, the PMS said that he had not said that; of course the Prime Minister would be having a holiday with his family, but he had responsibilities in his job and he took them very seriously.
