Non-Proliferation
« Parliamentary Standards Authority | Back to most recent briefing | Afghanistan »
Asked about the non-proliferation document being published this Thursday, the PMS said it was a Government document and that the Cabinet Office was the lead department. The purpose was to set out the issues as we saw them ahead of the non-proliferation conference next March that would be chaired by President Obama.
Put that the Government announced the non-proliferation document before announcing that the Prime Minister would attend the conference, the PMS said that this was a live issue and there was an international debate on it. We were setting out our agenda but it would be part of a wider debate that was taking place.
