Asked if the Prime Minister would like to see a global reserve currency to rival the dollar, the Prime Minister s Spokesman (PMS) said that the Prime Minister had set out his views on what he would like to see in terms of cooperation at a global level on the economy and on those issues that remained following the G20. The Prime Minister had today published an article with President Sarkozy about oil prices, which he felt were a potential threat to the stability of the global economy.
Asked what the Prime Minister s message would be to President Berlusconi regarding international aid, the PMS said that the general message the Prime Minister was taking to the G8 was that all countries should live up to the commitments they made at previous meetings.
