PMQs

Asked what the thinking was behind the decision to cancel PMQs following the sad death of David Cameron s son, the PMS said that the Prime Minister s view was that he wanted to consult the Opposition Party, listen to their views and agree a sensible way forward which marked this very difficult day for everybody in Westminster.

Asked if the Prime Minister or Sarah Brown had spoken to David or Samantha Cameron this morning, the PMS said that he had nothing to add to the Prime Minister s statement released earlier this morning.
