Cabinet
« G8 | Back to most recent briefing | Deputy Prime Minister »
Asked who would chair Cabinet on Thursday, the Prime Minister’s Official Spokesman (PMOS) replied that it would be Jack Straw. This was in line with protocol arrangements for what happens if the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister could not do PMQs.
Asked why we were holding Cabinet since the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister would not be present, the PMOS replied that there would be a discussion on counter-terrorism and counter-terrorism measures, and the Home Office would be publishing proposals on that tomorrow.
