Boris Johnson

Asked if it was true that the Prime Minister did not want to sit next to the Mayor of London at a recent event, the Prime Minister s Spokesman (PMS) replied that that was categorically not true.

Asked why the Mayor of London would suggest that, the PMS replied that that was a question for the Mayor s office.

Asked if the Prime Minister had sat next to the Mayor, the PMS replied that the Prime Minister had not, and there was never any instruction for the Prime Minister to suggest that he should or he should not.

Asked which event this was at, the PMS replied that he thought this was a reference to the Damilola Taylor event back in November.

Put that Boris Johnson had said that he, David Cameron, and the Prime Minister were speaking at this event, all had allocated seats in the front row, and that Downing Street manoeuvred to get the Mayor pushed back to the fourth row, the PMS replied that this was not the case.
