Admiralty Arch Flats

Asked if there were any plans to allocate or rent out the Admiralty Arch flats, the PMS replied that there were no plans to do so, but it would be best to check with Cabinet Office on the matter, as they had received a number of PQ’s on the subject, including one from October of last year.

Asked what the PQ had said, the PMS replied that it had said that the Home Secretary had decided not to take up the house that was traditionally occupied by the Home Secretary and that was being sold, with the receipts coming back to the taxpayer. Lord Malloch-Brown had one of the flats in the Admiralty, the Chancellor had the use of Dorneywood and that the Foreign Secretary had use of Chevening. The PMS added that the information was from memory from a PQ answered in October, so it was best to refer back to the PQ.
