Asked why there were no business women accompanying the Prime Minister on his recent visit to China and India, the PMS replied that this was not true – Carla Furse was involved on the trip and was present for the opening of the London Stock Exchange event in Beijing. Asked how many women were on the trip, the PMS replied that there were many excellent women as senior business people in this country, for whom the Prime Minister had a high degree of respect.
