Asked if the Prime Minister thought that Lord Forsyth’s idea of holding an independence referendum in Scotland on the same day as the general election was a good one, the PMS said that the Prime Minister had made his views clear about a referendum in Scotland and he did not agree that there should be one. Asked if the Prime Minister thought that there should never be a referendum, the PMS said that the Prime Minister had made his views clear and they were on the record.
