Asked if the Prime Minister would be speaking to the President-elect sometime today, the PMS replied that there was an expectation that the Prime Minister would speak to the President-elect in the next day or two, but we would keep people posted as to exactly when that would happen.
Asked if the issue was brought up at Cabinet earlier, the PMS replied that it did not come up whilst he was there. But it was possible that it may have been referred to in the second half of Cabinet.
Asked on the possibility of the Prime Minister meeting with the President-elect next week, the PMS replied that our position remained that we were not anticipating any meeting with the President-elect whilst we were in the United States.
