Going forward and Northern Ireland
« Police-Israeli Embassy | Back to most recent briefing | Iran »
The PMS highlighted that as the House resumes sitting next week it will be the first PMQs back and the Northern Ireland talks would start during the latter half of next week in St. Andrews. Asked about talks the Prime Minister was having with Gerry Adams at Chequers, the PMS said they should not be surprised that discussions were taking place with all parties involved but that people should not expect any further words before St. Andrews next week. Asked if there was a contingency plan to deal with issues should they fail in reaching a deal, the PMS said, as always, matters should be dealt with if or when they arose.
