Motor sports events

Asked for further detail on the Prime Minister?s (PM) announcement on local authorities being able to stage motor sport events on public roads, the Prime Minister?s Spokesperson (PMS) said that the public had been consulted on this matter and added that there had been many successful sporting events in the UK in recent years. He added that deregulation on this matter would encourage more UK sporting events and signal our ongoing commitment to this important high-tech sector. Local authorities would hold these types of events in consultation with communities.
