Benefits
Asked whether the PM and Chancellor were going to look at the proposed change in benefits for those with spare rooms in social housing, the PMS said that the plans were exactly as the Government had set out. They were part of an important programme of welfare reform that the Government was pursuing.

Economy
Questioned about the PM’s thoughts on the economy and the peformance of the FTSE, the PMS said that the PM believed the Government was taking the right decisions and despite some disappointing figures, the unemployment statistics and deficit reduction pointed to a healing economy.
