Andy Coulson

Asked if Andy Coulson had spoken to the police recently, the Prime Minister’s Spokesman (PMS) told the assembled press that she was not in a position to make a comment on that.

The PMS advised people that they should expect a statement later today.

Asked if the statement would be on Mr Coulson’s future, the PMS said she would not be giving any more details.

On whether the Prime Minister had full confidence in Mr Coulson, the PMS replied that the Prime Minister has had and still does have full confidence in Mr Couslon.

Asked if the statement would be from Mr Coulson, the PMS said that it would be.
