Asked about what the Defence Secretary had been saying about current operations in Afghanistan, the PMS said that the Defence Secretary and other senior figures at the Ministry of Defence had over the last few days been talking about Operation Moshtarak. This operation was not yet underway and part of the process was alerting the local population to the fact that this was about to happen.
