Miliband in Washington

Asked when the Foreign Secretary would be speaking, the PMS said he would check. Asked why the Foreign Secretary was giving evidence to a foreign committee, the PMS replied that he was giving evidence in a general context, but people should speak to the FCO.

Asked whether the Foreign Secretary would invite Hillary Clinton to the Afghanistan conference while he was in Washington, the PMS said he was sure they would talk about the conference. The Secretary of State had been invited and we were expecting her to attend.
