London Summit and Afghanistan

Put that the Prime Minister said is his statement that 68 international delegations would attend the summit, the PMS said that that was the indication but the official invites had not yet gone put so we didn’t have a definitive number.

Asked if the thickening process in Helmand would involve troops from the south, the PMS said that the 500 extra troops would go to Helmand. As the Prime Minister said in his statement, there could be a rebalancing of troops, including from the US and the UN.
