Asked if the Prime Minister was concerned that President Obama was setting up a meeting of the four most powerful economic nations and that Great Britain would not be involved, the PMS said that our understanding regarding a suggestion of a G4 meeting was that it was purely speculative, and therefore there was nothing formally to say. It was not unusual for there to be Eurozone representatives at all sorts of meetings, but as far as we were concerned there were no formal plans for a G4 meeting.
