Charles Clarke

Asked if the Prime Minister had spoken to Charles Clarke in the last hour following his interview in the Evening Standard suggesting that the Prime Minister should stand down, the PMS said that she was not aware of any such discussion.

Asked for the Prime Minister s view on Charles Clarke s comments, the PMS chose not to engage in that discussion.

Asked if the Prime Minister felt saddened by Charles Clarke s comments, the PMS said that it was not something she had had a chance to speak to the Prime Minister about.
