Asked if the Prime Minister would be reviewing foreign aid to countries such as India and China in the context of public spending generally, the PMS said he could not comment on a specific aspect of public spending.
Asked if the Prime Minister would commit to ring fencing the NHS as the Opposition had done, the PMS said the Prime Minister had spoken about front line services at the TUC yesterday but he had not spoken in the context of individual parts of front line services.
