The Times Quotes

Asked to comment on the story in The Times that had included quotes from an unnamed Cabinet Minister saying that the Prime Minister had been indecisive when dealing with issues over the summer , the PMS said that it would be quite a challenge to comment on every unattributable quote that was put to him. The Prime Minister had been clear that in Afghanistan, it had been a difficult summer but there had been real progress there.
The Prime Minister would now look to focus on the G20 and looked forward positively to the big initiatives being discussed in his meetings today.
Asked whether the Prime Minister regretted not speaking earlier on the Al Megrahi case or compensation for IRA victims, the PMS said that the Prime Minister felt that he made a full statement at the right time and it was important that he had done that.
