US Treasury Secretary Geithner

Asked if the Prime Minister and the US Secretary had made an assessment of how far the participants of the London Summit had gone in meeting their commitments, the PMS said that they had had a good discussion in their meeting. They had talked about the global economy, the good progress that was being made on the G20 commitments that were entered into in London and the preparatory work necessary for the next meeting of the G20 in Pittsburgh in September.

They had also focussed on the drivers of future growth in the world economy, reform of the international financial institutions and advancing towards a global trade deal.
