Asked for an update on G8, the PMS said that the Prime Minister had had a series of bilaterals. Yesterday evening, he had met with President Medvedev and this morning he had met Ban KI-Moon and Jacob Zuma. In terms of the agenda for the day, this morning there would be a meeting of the G8 + 5 + 1, which consisted of the G8 countries plus Brazil, China, India, Mexico, South Africa and Egypt. They would be discussing the global economy and climate change.
Later today, there was the meeting of the Major Economies Forum, which would be chaired by Barack Obama.
