Asked for a reaction to the violence in North West China, the PMS said that reports were still coming in from that region and there had been some updates from our embassy in Beijing. We were concerned about the reports of violence and the scale of the loss of life and we would urge restraint on all sides and where possible for problems to be resolved through dialogue.
