Asked about the man who had been held in Iran, the PMS said that the individual in question was a British-Greek national who travelled into Iran on his Greek passport. Our Ambassador had been in close contact with his Greek counterpart offering any assistance and had also raised the case with the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, formally requesting consular access.
