Asked if the Prime Minister was concerned that three Cabinet Minister had repaid money, the PMS said that lots of people had repaid money across the House of Commons at all levels, so MPs who were also Ministers were not unique in that respect. The Prime Minister believed that those Ministers who had repaid the money had done the right thing.
Asked if the Prime Minister thought that the original claims of Mr Hoon and Mr Darling were acceptable, the PMS said that there was a proper process that should be used by all MPs.
Asked for the Prime Minister s views on Geoff Hoon and Alistair Darling, the PMS said that the Prime Minister thought they were both doing a very good job.
