Asked how the Prime Minister responded to the growing calls for an election, the PMS said that the Prime Minister felt that individual MPs would be accountable to the electorate at some point, but that did not remove the need for a fundamental look at some of the wider issues relating to how Parliament operated that had been thrown up by recent events.
