Iraq and Afghanistan

Asked if there were any details on the timetabling of redeployments from Iraq to Afghanistan, the PMS said that it would be a matter for the MOD but he would not accept the premise of the question and the use of the word redeployment. If there were any further announcements on the exact timetable for troop withdrawals in Iraq, that would be a matter for the MOD and likewise the MOD would give details in the normal way of the temporary deployment of troops in Afghanistan that the Prime Minister announced on Wednesday.
