Put that Vera Baird had said on Radio 4 that there were green shoots of economic recovery starting to appear, the PMS said that the Prime Minister thought that the Solicitor General was an excellent lawyer with a huge amount of expertise on legal matters and that was why she was appointed to her job as Solicitor General. br /> Asked about what the Prime Minister had said about Angela Merkel at PMQs, the PMS said that the Prime Minister had been full of praise for Angela Merkel at PMQs, as he always was. He had not been remotely critical of Angela Merkel in any way.
