SIS

Asked whether the Prime Minister agreed with the head of the SIS who had said that he couldn t allow senior intelligence officers to retire at 65 as they couldn t do without the experience that they brought to the role, the PMS said that decisions on human resources and personnel matters at SIS were rightly for the head of that organisation and he would not comment any further.

Put that there was a wider issue of protecting the UK and wasn t the Prime Minister worried about that, the PMS said he would not get into a discussion about the operation of SIS. The report covered that question and he had nothing to add to it.
