Asked whether the Prime Minister was aware that the Foreign Office had solicited a letter from America about Guantanamo, the PMS said he would no accept the terms in which the question had been posed. All that had happened here was that the Foreign Office had been making clear that they had asked the US to set out their position in writing for the benefit of the court.
