Meeting with Pharmaceutical Industry
« Misc | Back to most recent briefing | Economy »
Asked about the Prime Minister s meeting with representatives of the pharmaceutical industry and why the PMS had stressed that it had been scheduled a long time in advance, the PMS said that he wanted to make it clear that it was about longer term issues and not about medium and short-term issues. This was very different from the meeting Lord Mandelson was having with the car industry for example. Asked whether the pharmaceutical industry was seeking any help from the Government, the PMS said not as far as he was aware.
