Put that Baroness Royal had talked about changes in the way the House of Lords was run and was there anything that the Government could add, the PMS said the position was as set out by Baroness Royal.
On the specific matters relating to these specific peers, this was not a Government issue, it was a Labour Party issue. Put that Baroness Royal had talked about a tightening of the rules, which would be a Government matter, the PMS replied that that was something that would need to be discussed by the relevant people and committees in the House of Lords. There was not much to add to what Baroness Royal had said in the Chamber just now.
