President Obama
« Pascal Lamy | Back to most recent briefing | Repossessions »
Asked if there was any update of when the Prime Minister would be speaking to President Obama, the PMS said that we had been talking to the new administration at the White House at working level as of yesterday and the Prime Minister would be speaking to President Obama within the next few days.
Asked whether the Prime Minister agreed with President Obama on the issue of negotiating with Iran without pre-conditions, the PMS said that Iran would be one of a number of the issues we would want to discuss with the new administration.
We had consistently taken the view that while nothing was ruled out, we continued to work through diplomatic channels in relation to Iran.
