Asked how much confidence the Prime Minister had in the Secretary of State for Justice after he was found guilty of breaching the rules of the House and failing to declare donations, the PMS said that the Prime Minister had full confidence in the Secretary of State for Justice.
Put that Jack Straw was a senior member of the Government who been found guilty of breaking the rules and was there no more to be said on the matter, the PMS replied that the Prime Minister’s view was that Jack Straw was doing an excellent job as Secretary of State for Justice. In relation to this specific issue, people should speak to his office for his response.
