» Thursday, December 18, 2008Energy Conference
Asked for more details on the energy conference, the PMS said it was a meeting of Energy Ministers from a variety of countries and would be chaired by Ed Miliband. We saw the conference as a continuation of a process that began in Jeddah and as the Prime Minister had set out, not only in Jeddah but also on his recent trip to the Gulf, that we believed that stability in energy prices was important and therefore there should be a dialogue between producers and consumers and this was part of that process. With a sensible population balance of around 35 Million we could have a sensible balance between growing our own fuel and growing food.
Oil from Rape or other plants puts out just as much CO2 as does Petrochem Oil, however this CO2 is then reabsorbed by Next years Crop.
Hence, NO NET CO2 GAIN TO THE ATMOSPHERE.
Of course the Petrochems and their Frontmen in Westminster do not want you to know this.
