Cabinet
The Prime Minister s Spokesman began by saying that Cabinet had met for approximately one hour and twenty minutes this morning. The Chancellor had not attended as he will be attending the Ecofin meeting later today in Luxembourg. The Prime Minister welcomed new and returning members of the Cabinet. They had a discussion led by the Leader of the House on the legislative programme and they had an update from the Prime Minister on the economy.
Asked if Peter Mandelson had attended Cabinet this morning, the PMS said yes.
