Asked why the Government had decided to sign up fully to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the PMS said that the Home Secretary had announced in January this year that there would be a review of the UK s immigration-based reservation to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the results of that review would be announced shortly, but they had not been announced yet.
