Lady Thatcher
« Creationism in Schools | Back to most recent briefing | Energy »
Asked if there was any specific reason why Lady Thatcher would be meeting the Prime Minister at Chequers, the PMS said it was a longstanding invitation. The PMS added that he believed they had discussed Chequers when they met last year and they both agreed that it would be nice if Lady Thatcher could visit at some point. The PMS emphasised that it was a private visit, we hadn t intended to publicise it and we would not be making any further plans for publicity on the day.
