Asked on law and order if it was the case that the police were now demonising the middle classes because of government targets as they were easier to catch, the PMS replied that this was a question best directed to the Home Office.

Therein lies the answer. Rightly, this should have been a very simply question to answer, it should have been no, because no government, particularly one so politically correct, should be demonising any parts of our society. Even those on the lowest pay grade in government should not have needed to refer this question.
